Shalom Everyone,
Sukkot is almost here and I just wanted to touch base with you one more time before we meet together starting this coming weekend… there are a lot of common questions that I hope can be answered in this email.
There will be some of us arriving at the campground Friday to begin set-up, and the next couple of days people will be arriving at various times to help with that process. Sunday evening at 6:30 we will gather together to fellowship and eat followed by an evening around the campfire to kick off the feast. Each day following there will be teachings during the day, covered dish at 6:30 and around the fire to wrap it up.
Also, every year we spend a lot of money to make sure everyone has a good time and everything they need. This year funds are lower, as are for everyone, so I put together a list of things that I usually buy for the campground so that if anyone wants to help out you can pick up some of these items and either drop them off at OBM or bring them with you to Lake Murray.
If anyone has extra camping equipment that they would like to donate or lend for people in need, please bring that as well. If you are lending, please put your name on the items. Some common needs are: tents, stakes, air mattresses, chairs, blankets, flashlights and lanterns)
There are several individuals and families who don’t have the money to go to Sukkot. If you’d like to sponsor a person or family… please follow this link to donate. Keep in mind it’s $10.00 a night for tent space, plus gas money.
Shalom and see you this weekend!
