Purpose
The purpose of this lesson is to bring the student
to an awareness of the restored Sacred name of
the Son, again so that their relationship can
grow deeper. We will continue to scripturally
investigate the restored name, why it was hidden
and how we have been deceived.
The Son
I. DECLARATION
- Named from Heaven
Luke 1:30-31 provides insight into the first
of the two questions at hand. Is Jesus the REAL
name of our Messiah? First, we must consider who
it is that named the Messiah. In Luke 1:30 31
it is the angel of Yahweh who delivered the name
of the child to Mary. In addition, in Matthew
1:20-21 we find again it is the angel of Yahweh
who delivered the name of the child to Joseph.
What does all this mean? It means that our Messiah
was not named by either Mary or Joseph, but rather
by Yahweh, His Father. Since angels are only messengers
and can only operate in the will of the Father,
it is safe to assume that Gabriel didn’t
name our Messiah either, but Yahweh did. Yahweh
used them to personally deliver the name He wanted
His son to be named. I realized that the name
that Yahweh gave His son is the name I needed
to know. In other words, it’s much more
important to understand what the Father says rather
than what I think. So what is that name? Let’s
examine the Interlinear Scriptures to study the
Greek words used to find out.

When we study the Greek word used for Jesus in this passage an amazing
truth begins to come clear. The Greek word used for the name of the
Messiah is Ieesoun. In the definition of this name, we discover that
this is a translation of the Hebrew name Yehowshuua, Strong’s
OT #3091, pronounced Yah-shoo-ah. In other words,
the name Yahweh gave to His Son was not Jesus or Ieesoun, but Yahshua
– according to Yahweh.
Yahshua Himself declares the origin of His Name when He states that
He has come in His Father’s name in John 5:43. Before I knew the
restored names of Yahweh and Yahshua, this verse always confused me.
I always assumed this simply meant He came in His Father’s authority.
This is certainly true, but also literally true as well. When we compare
the two restored names, the literal, contextual relationship becomes
clear.

In these two examples it is clear to see that there is no contextual
relationship at all between the two words in Example A, however with
Example B it is easy to see the contextual relation between Yahweh and
Yahshua. The first three letters of each is the same — Yah. “Yah”
is the short form of the name Yahweh. It is these three letters that
are imbedded in Yahshua’s name. Yah is not simply imbedded, but
also is the prefix thereby being the controlling characteristic of the
name, which fulfills John 5:43
John 5:43
I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me;
if another comes in his own name, him you will receive. NKJV.
It is clear from these two Scriptures alone that Yahshua was intentionally
named by Yahweh. He was given the name that not only reveals His own
identity, but the identity of the Father as well. By definition, Yahshua
means “the salvation of Yahweh”. Through His restored name,
we can see the prophetic picture of His life and His ministry.
We have answered the first question; Yahshua is the real name of our
Messiah. Now we must answer the second question, “Does it really
matter?”.
II. PROCLAMATION – It does matter.
In order to answer this question fully, we will examine 2 areas: 1)
language usage and 2) the Scriptures.
A. International Language Usage
An additional interesting fact from a purely secular standpoint, giving
relevance to the correct name of our Messiah, is the standard that is
used in all languages for proper names. When using a proper name in
any language referring to a particular person, the universal standard
is the proper name is used according to the language of the person mentioned.
For example, Jody and I had the opportunity to spend 45 days in Calgary,
Canada during Bill Clinton’s first term in office. The official
language of Canada is French. Neither Jody nor I spoke or understood
French, yet invariably the news would come on, in French, and there
would be something about President Clinton. So we understood the report
like this, “blah, blah, blah, President Clinton, blah, United
States, blah, blah, blah…”
That is what we heard. Because we didn’t understand French, the
only words that we could understand were the proper names because they
were given in the language or origin. Since or Messiah’s name
is Hebrew, the correct usage of His name would be the Hebrew usage,
anything else would be considered disrespectful and even blasphemes.
B. What do the Scriptures say?
There are many instances in the New Testament where the Messiah uses
the phrase “in my name”. For example, Matthew 18:5, He states,
“whoever receives one little child like this in My Name receives
Me.” Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered
together in My Name, I am there in the midst of them”.
John 14:13, “and whatever you ask in My Name, that I
will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son”. I believe
two things most assuredly, first I believe He meant what He said; and
second, I believe He knows what His name is, even if we are confused.
If our Messiah directed us to do and experience these things in His
Name and we haven’t been because we have been taught to use the
name Jesus instead of Yahshua, have we really experienced the fullness
of Him or these experiences? I have my doubts. Remember there is always
so much more for us to embrace of the Messiah outside or our boxes,
our comfort zones, than there is inside of them.
At this point, it is important that we pause so that we can understand
where we have been in our Spiritual Journey. Simply put, we have been
blinded by the enemy perhaps due to the sins of our forefathers or maybe
our own stubbornness. Even though these truths have been laid before
us in the Scriptures, we haven’t been able to fully perceive them.
Remember the plot of the enemy is to kill, steal and destroy according
to John 10:10.
John 10:10
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and
to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may
have it more abundantly.” NKJV
And that is exactly what he has done. He doesn’t want us to know
the truth because when we do, we will be able to walk in the fullness
of what our Father has for us. I gained salvation through the name of
Jesus. I was baptized in the name of Jesus. I have seen a multitude
of people saved and baptized in Jesus name. I have cast out demons and
seen the sick healed all in the name of Jesus. Am I saved? Absolutely!
We have been blinded by ignorance and have been covered by grace. In
all of these cases, faith is the major ingredient and faith is the mechanism
that Yahweh uses to effect change in our lives. Yahweh is sovereign,
period. By faith we are saved, by faith we are delivered and healed.
If Yahweh can do all of this in our ignorance, then how much more can
He do in our enlightenment as we begin to walk in the truth?
Since we are probably not of the tribes of Judah or Benjamin, and are
considered gentiles, is it important that we use the name Yahshua? Secularly
we have already learned that the answer is yes. No let’s see what
the Scriptures say about gentiles and the restored name. In Acts 9,
Yahshua instructs Ananias to pray for Paul’s sight, and in verse
15 we find Yahshua’s description of who Paul is…
Acts 9:15
But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel
of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children
of Israel.” NKJV
Yahshua states in this verse that Paul’s job was to “bear
My Name before gentiles”. Guess what? That is you and me. From
Yahshua’s direction to Ananias it is plain to see that the Restored
name of the Messiah was to be known by all peoples, not merely the children
of Israel.
C. The Name Jesus
If Yahshua is the name of the Messiah, where did the name Jesus come
from? I am glad you asked.
Yahshua is the original Hebrew Name of the professing
Jewish Messiah, who was accepted as such by a certain section (some
3,000 souls) of Israel, at and after His appearance in Israel, some
2,000 years ago. To them He was known as Yahshua. In time, over the
first few centuries after Messiah, His Name was gradually changed to
“Je-Zeus Khristos” by the pagan masses who had (some supposedly) converted and joined the originally Messianic
Sect. During this process Christianity was born at the Nicene Council,
which integrated a mixture of originally pure, and gradually progressive
influences of pagan customs and traditions. This was greatly
due to the instigation of influential leaders like Constantine the Great,
who was a sun god worshipper, and who purportedly converted to the Messiah.
Constantine is the foundational father of what is called Christianity
today. It was also a natural process as a result of the infiltration
of followers of the sun god, into the ranks of faith. Even the name
of their pagan idol “Zeus” was applied to their new-found
Messiah – and Yahshua became “Je-Zeus – which became
“Jesus” in English (note the middle “s” is pronounced
as a “z”). This analogy can be found in Acts 14:12-13 in
which the pagans tried to assimilate the names to even Paul and Barnabas:
Acts 14:12-13
12 And Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he
was the chief speaker. 13 Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple
was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates,
intending to sacrifice with the multitudes. NKJV
Revelation 13:18 tells us of the famous mark of the Beast –
666. The number six represents man. 666 is the number of the man who
will claim he is the Messiah. The name of this man can be spelled out
using the number value of each Hebrew language letter, the original
language of the book of Revelation.

S, M, O, S, U, S, brought down and put together form two Hebrew words
“Shemo Sus” translates “name of him (is) Sus”.
Transliterated it is “Yesus.” Does this sound familiar?
The chief Greek deity worshipped back then was Zeus, who is still worshipped
today all over the world. Now you have it — No Jesus, but Know
Yahshua! It is now time to grasp these translation abominations, which
violates the Fourth Commandment.
Exodus 20:7
7 “You shall not take the name of Yahweh (the LORD) your Elohim (God) in vain, for Yahweh (the LORD) will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
(“Vain” can mean “to not use”. Bold and
underlining added by us.)
Acts 4:12
12 ”Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no
other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Acts 14:11-18
11 Now when the people saw what Paul had done, they raised their
voices, saying in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come
down to us in the likeness of men!” 12 And Barnabas they
called Zeus, and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker.
13 Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their
city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, intending to sacrifice
with the multitudes. 14 But when the apostles Barnabas and Paul
heard this, they tore their clothes and ran in among the multitude,
crying out 15 and saying, “Men, why are you doing these things?
We also are men with the same nature as you, and preach to you that
you should turn from these useless things to the living Elohim (God), who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all things that
are in them, 16 who in bygone generations allowed all nations to
walk in their own ways. 17 Nevertheless He did not leave Himself
without witness, in that He did good, gave us rain from heaven and
fruitful seasons, filling our hearts with food and gladness.”
18 And with these sayings they could scarcely restrain the multitudes
from sacrificing to them. (Bold and underlined type added by us.)
There is power in the restored sacred names. The enemy has diluted
the truth, by keeping the sacred names hidden, and other deceptions.
Yet he is unable to keep the truth hidden as Yahweh is now bringing
it forth. Jeremiah 16:19-21 deals directly with this.
Jeremiah 16:19-21
19 O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in the day of
affliction, the Gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the
earth and say, “Surely our fathers have inherited lies, worthlessness
and unprofitable things.” 20 Will a man make gods for himself,
which are not gods? 21 “Therefore behold, I will this once
cause them to know, I will cause them to know My hand and My might;
and they shall know that My name is the LORD.” NKJV
Indeed we have inherited lies that we now call tradition. Remember
the Scriptures state, “you shall know the truth and the truth
shall set you free”, and we are directed in John 4:24 to worship
“in spirit and in truth”. You have now been given the truth.
The Messiah’s name is Yahshua, and yes – it does matter!
How you walk it out is up to you. I leave you with 1Thessalonians 5:19-22
1 Thessalonians 5:19-22
19 Do not quench the Spirit. 20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test
all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of
evil. NKJV
